About the Teen Leadership Summit

Since the summer of 2016, Teen Health Connection has offered a unique leadership development opportunity for teens through our annual Teen Leadership Summit. This summit is led by trained teens alongside supportive adults who believe in empowering every adolescent to be healthy, safe, and successful.

Who Should Attend?

The Teen Leadership Summit is open to teens ages 13–18 in the Charlotte region who are interested in:

  • Growing as leaders
  • Expanding their future goals
  • Making a positive impact in their schools, communities, and beyond

Teen Leadership Panel

Local youth leaders share their journeys, lessons learned, and advice on leading with purpose and authenticity.

Action Planning Session

Participants create a personalized 30-day leadership action plan, reflect on strengths, and commit to their own “Lead Bigger” pledge.

What Teens Will Gain?

Teens leave the summit with a clear sense of their strengths, a focused 30‑day leadership goal, and a personal Lead Bigger commitment—ready to turn inspiration into action.

Participants leave the Teen Leadership Summit equipped with confidence, direction, and actionable tools for impact, including:

  • A strengthened leadership identity and increased confidence to lead with purpose
  • Exposure to diverse leadership and career pathways across key sectors
  • Practical, real‑world skills in decision‑making, problem‑solving, and teamwork
  • A structured 30‑day leadership blueprint which includes a clear, actionable plan designed for immediate implementation in schools and communities
  • A high‑energy, youth‑centered experience that blends leadership development with music, networking, photography, and incentive‑based engagement
