Teen Health Connection Therapist Jessica Conley Featured on Charlotte Today Show
On Thursday, May 21, 2026, Jessica Conley, M.Ed., LCMHC, was featured on WCNC in an interview with Colleen Odegaard on the Charlotte Today Show.

During the interview, Conley spoke about the importance of Mental Health Awareness Month as a time to raise awareness and educate the public about the impact of mental health challenges on individuals, particularly those ages 11–25. One in five adolescents has experienced a serious behavioral health disorder at some point in their life, and with half of all mental health conditions beginning by age 14, early intervention is critical.
Conley also highlighted the important role Teen Health Connection plays in providing behavioral health services to adolescents and young adults in the Charlotte community. According to the 2024 National Survey of Children’s Health, 61% of teens in the United States reported difficulty accessing mental health care when they needed it. Through professionals like Jessica Conley and the nine other therapists on the Behavioral Health team, Teen Health Connection is helping bridge the gap between need and access to care.
Jessica Conley is a psychotherapist with Teen Health Connection and has over a decade of counseling experience across a variety of settings. She is also a licensed school counselor and has served in that role in elementary, middle, and high school environments. In addition, she has provided therapy to patients and their families in both outpatient and residential settings. Jessica is a trained and rostered therapist in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and has extensive experience supporting adolescents experiencing traumatic grief. She is also trained in Family-Based Treatment (the Maudsley Method) for the treatment of eating disorders.
