The Johnston Award honors individuals, groups or organizations that have demonstrated sustained and significant impact on adolescents in the Charlotte community. Teen Health Connection is pleased to present the 2018 award to Kevin A. Markle.
Kevin is the ParentVOICE Youth Engagement Specialist at Mental Health America of Central Carolinas and has been in this position for the last eight years, serving as an advocate for youth in our community. Kevin also presents on QPR, a suicide prevention program, is a trainer for Mental Health First Aid for Youth, and is the primary force behind MHA’s PhotoVoice project.
Congratulations, Kevin, on being the 2018 recipient of the Dr. John G. Johnston Award for Excellence in Adolescent Medicine and Health.
The 2018 Dr. Johnston Award was proudly presented by the 26th Judicial District Court Judges, Elizabeth Thornton Trosch, Lou Trosch and David Strickland, who received the award in 2017.
