North Carolina Medicaid is changing.

Take action by May 14 to continue care with your Atrium Health Levine Children’s doctor.
North Carolina’s Medicaid program is changing on July 1, 2021. Most NC Medicaid patients* and NC Health Choice patients will have the chance to sign up for a new health plan.

6 things you need to know

1. The sign-up period, also known as open enrollment, is from March 15 to May 14, 2021.

2. Currently, Levine Children’s doctors and hospitals are included in some – but not all – plans.

3. To keep seeing your preferred Levine Children’s doctors, you should choose one of the following plans: HealthyBlue, Carolina Complete Health or WellCare. Check AtriumHealth.org/NCMedicaid before you enroll to see if Levine Children’s doctors and hospitals are included in additional

NC Medicaid health plans.

4. When signing up, you will need to choose a primary care provider (PCP). Choose your Levine Children’s doctor at the address you see him/her.

5. If you do not sign up for a plan by May 14, 2021, the state will choose one for you. This new plan may not include your doctors.

Signing up for a new plan is easy!

• Go online: Visit NCMedicaidPlans.gov to enroll online.
• Call: Call 833-870-5500 to speak to a representative.
• Mail or fax: Complete the enrollment form in the packet mailed to you by NC Department of Health and Human Services. Mail or fax it back.
