Teen Health Connection is proud to offer our Girls Educated and Motivated for Success (GEMS) Mentoring Program. The GEMS Mentoring Program is a 10-week community program that is targeted for girls ages 13 to 17. The GEMS work with community volunteers to tackle important health issues for young women. The GEMS participate in health education discussions and projects, self-esteem building activities and various community service projects.
The GEMS meet weekly in the evenings for 10 consecutive weeks. The program is free for all participants to attend because of generous support from the United Way of Central Carolinas.
The Winter/Spring 2018 10-week Program will begin Wednesday, February 21 and end May 16, 2018. There will be built in make-up days if needed.
If you are interested in joining the GEMS Winter/Spring group please complete the attached Fillable Registration Form and the Teen Health Connection Photo Release and return it to Kathy O'Reilly, Health Educator at Teen Health Connection before Wednesday, February 21.
