February 9, 2017: Rett Liles and Amber Jones presented at the 2017 National Leadership Forum im Washington, DC about prescription drug misuse prevention.

February 6, 2017: Teen Health Connection received 2 prestigious awards from CADCA: The Chairman's Award and the Dose of Prevention Award.

February 1, 2017: Teen Health Connection received 20% of the proceeds from Kendra Scott at Southpark.

2016

November 18, 2016: Members of the Teen Health Connection team presented at the 9th annual Model Court Abuse, Neglect and Dependency Conference. The conference focused on building resilience in children.

November 1, 2016: The Teen Health Connection team atteded the Giving Tuesday Charlotte Pep Rally at the McColl Center.

September 27, 2016: Libby Safrit, Kate Hogan and Amber Jones were the plenary speakers at the 14th Annual Fall Prevention Provider Meeting for Precention Day in Austin, Texas. The team presented on The Big Picture Initiative.

September 24, 2016: Teen Health Connection hosted Stand Up and Get Down honoring the Mecklenburg Medical Alliance and Endowment as the 2016 recipient of the Dr. John G. Johnston Award for Excellence in Adolescent Medicine and Health.

September 13, 2016: Rett Liles and Amber Jones recorded Public Service Announcements for prevention of prescription drug misuse with Beasley Media Group. The PSA aired in October and November of 2016.

August 30, 2016: Parents and teens gathered at Teen Health Connection for the Underage Drinking Prevention Town Hall.

August 3, 2016: Kate Hogan and Teen Advisory Board Member Banks Grubbs presented at the 2016 Prevention of Youth Substance Abuse in Rural Communities Annual Conference about the PhotoVoice Project.

July 19, 2016: Clark Bridge and Jessica Busick were on the air at Seacrest Studios talking about adolescent mental health.

July 5, 2016: Teen Health Connection was one of the nonprofit vendors invited to attend the Vans Warped Tour. The team handed out health and safety information to concert-goers.

June 8, 2016: Teen Health Connection and cast members from The Big Picture presented to the Mecklenburg County Board of County Commissioners about teen suicide.

May 24, 2016: Libby Safrit and Teen Health Connection Board of Directors members attended Myers Park Country Club for the Mecklenburg Medical Alliance and Endowment's Annual Meeting.

March 16, 2016: Members of the Teen Health Connection Teen Advisory Board presented to the Mecklenburg County Board of County Commissioners meeting about the importance of supporting programs for teens in the schools and community.

March 12, 2016: Teen Health Connection was one of 12 nonprofits recognized at the Playing For Others HeARTbeat Event at the McGlohon Theater.

February 22, 2016: Teen Advisory Board members presented at St. Martin's Episcopal Church about the importance of preventing teen bullying in schools and the impact of stress and peer pressure can have on a teen's health.

February 2, 2016: Kate Hogan, Rett Liles and Libby Safrit received the People's Choice Award for The Big Picture Initiative at CADCA's 26th annual National Leadership Forum in Washington, DC.

January 6, 2016: The Teen Advisory Board partnered with Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools for the Put a Cap on It project for students to refrain from underage drinking and prescription drug misuse.
